Happy Easter!!!
I hope you had a nice Easter weekend! Easter, the most important time of year! It was such a nice time for our family as we reflected and rejoiced on the Resurrection of Christ. We had my Grandparents and Aunt & Uncle over for Easter dinner after church. It was a LOT of fun!
It amazes us every year on all the commercialism that both Easter and Christmas bring. It is sad that SO many people think Easter is all about the "bunny" and candy and eggs that they will get.
We have our own fun Easter traditions in our home, and we had a LOT of fun again this year as we did them. We make our Easter Story cookies together, and we DO decorate eggs for hiding. I have been laughing at Elizabeth & Olivia as they have been hiding the little plastic eggs over & over for each other to find all week.

I am a little slow moving this morning. It is a rare day that Olivia won't come over for the day. Elizabeth misses her already! I feel like we always get a terrible start when I am not up & ready for the day BY 7 am. However, once I did get up I got a few things done that I had been wanting to do for a couple of days. I made granola, and scotcheroos already this morning! YUM! I figure that if you are late...be REALLY late! :) I figured it was the perfect morning to catch up a blog about what has happened lately for us.
We have about 4 weeks of school left and it is really flying by all of a sudden. We are really enjoying the History that we've been studying this year. I think that we are ready for summer. It doesn't seem real that summer is really coming. We keep getting snow!
We have music recitals coming up in another month. Those are always exciting/nerveracking to prepare for. Elizabeth will give her first piano recital! She has already given a couple violin recitals, so this will add to the fun! Valerie is getting her songs ready as well. She is such fun to play music with!
Our quilts are really coming along. It has been an interesting process to learn the techniques to quilting! Our teacher is wonderful! Valerie & I almost have our tops done. It is fun to see the progress!
Craig, the girls & I may try canoeing (sp) this weekend. That should be fun/cold! Our little swamp is drying up before our eyes! Valerie is disappointed! Our neighbor has a huge swamp that we could paddle around in if we want.

It sounds like you had a wonderful Easter! Your table setting looks so beautiful. The girls look beautiful (but then that's no surprise given their parentage). I love you!! Happy early birthday!
