Family Vacation Fun

We decided to go on a quick family vacation for this summer.
What FUN it turned out to be! We headed out on Friday after Craig
was finished with work and landed ourselves in Hibbing for the night.
We enjoyed a presentation at the Paulucci Planetarium on the sun,
we also enjoyed the Hull Rust mines the first evening. The landscape
was so beautiful! We had a great room at a hotel with a pool! Such fun!

A little in the sun, but the girls are in the lookout area
of the Hull Rust mines.
Matthew had the best spot of all! He plays with Craigs hat,
his hair, his ears...anything that he can get his little hands on!

We enjoyed seeing the huge windmills!

We enjoyed a visit with Jessica's great-grandmother who
will be 99 years old in a couple weeks! In this picture, a
five generation gap is represented! She is our children's
great-GREAT Grandmother! We happen to be blessed with
5 living generation members in our family still!!!

The Soudan Mine is a place we would encourage ALL of you
to visit at some point! It was SO very amazing!

We were 1/2 mile under this far rock wall when we were
on our underground mine tour.

Poor Matthew hated his helmet! He grumped through the
whole tour, but at the end, finally fell fast asleep!!

Now we went the International Wolf Museum.
We had a Wolf 101 presentation and a lot of fun
things to see and do while we were here.

The girls were in the wolf den playing and listening
to the sounds of baby wolves.

The viewing area was so neat! We could see a couple of the
wolves that live here. They have 6 different wolves, of 3 different
sub-species of Gray Wolves. Very interesting!

Tower was fun...apparently very cold in the winter too!

Also in Tower was a fun Train museum that we toured.

Another museum that we didn't actually go through the inside
but were able to tour on the grounds, we found Paul Bunyan's marble!
Very neat!

All in all a SUPER weekend full of fun family memories!
