Fun in the Sun!

We went to Itasca State Park for the day with our
friends Lisa, Fritz, Liliana, Frank & Mary
We enjoyed a nice picnic & swimming at the beach area.

The weather was very nice! We could see clouds
in the distance, and hear an occasional thunder, but
overall the weather was wonderful!


While we were eating our lunch a little
squirrel came close for a taste of lunch too!


Remember the clouds in the distance??
They hit us fast and HARD!
Before we had a chance to get our gear, kids,
blankets, EVERYTHING....we were completely
soaked before we got to the vehicle!
It was rather amazing!

So we packed up and went to the Visitor Center to
have fun and dry off.


After the Visitor Center we went to the
Headwaters and had fun. It was sunny again.

There weren't too many people which was nice.

Elizabeth was quite proud of herself when she
realized that she could go across the Headwaters
all on her own! The current was quite strong too!

We made Elizabeth & Frank hold hands, and Valerie
& Liliana so that we always knew where everyone was.
The buddy system really works well!
