The Salvation Poem
Jesus, You died upon a cross
And rose again to save the lost
Forgive me now of all my sin
Come be my Saviour, Lord, and Friend
Change my life and make it new
And help me, Lord, to live for You.
This was the emphasis of Matt McPherson's ministry.
We had a fun second day with the Archery Festival & Concert!
We got to shoot at 3-D targets that were set up at our church
softball field this morning. Even the kids had targets to shoot at, some had
cans of pop to shoot at. Those were exciting to hit as they
made a huge popping sound!!! Craig was able to have his
Matthews bow signed by the man himself, Matt McPherson!
This evening at the High School auditorium there was a concert by
Matt & Sherry McPherson. Matt is the founder of Matthews Inc.
which sells bows for hunting & target shooting. It was an amazing
concert that really gave the message of Christ to everyone!
Matt was a wonderful speaker both at the concert and earlier
at the target shoot. It was fun to talk to him and ask questions
and hear how he came up with his ideas! I really appreciate
his whole ministry and how he honors God in what he does! Matt
is a good example to us on how God can use us in all aspects of our lives!
Unfortunately, we didn't win any of the 4 give-away Matthews bows
after the concert. As Ben Caron said, "there were many individual prayers
being sent up as they drew for the names." You could almost FEEL the
tension as people waited and hoped that their name was called! Poor
Valerie had been hoping all weekend that she might win, however she
has chosen to be glad for the people who did get the choice bows!
She is busy trying to convince Craig of the perfect Genesis Bow which
is pink, as a possible perfect Christmas gift!

What a neat ministry! Is the man local, or does he travel around the country doing events? It would be cool to have him come to our church someday. Sounds like you guys had a busy weekend! I love summer because there's so many cool things going on. Love ya!
